After a successful career in broadcasting, both in management and as a top rated on-air host, Dale transitioned to film, television and commercial work. His performing background led to voice and on-camera acting roles for major US brands, and principal, guest starring and recurring roles in top Hollywood productions, which provided the invaluable opportunity to be directed by such notables as David Zucker, Tim Burton, and Robert Redford. His first screenplay collaboration earned a Praxis Screenwriting Fellowship and he has had multiple projects optioned by major production companies and funded by Telefilm Canada, the Canada Media Fund and Telus Storyhive. As a director-producer, his first feature, the Mockumentary, Hair of the Sasquatch, premiered at the Calgary International Film Festival, his short films have screened in festivals in New York, Chicago, Montreal and Toronto, and he has directed commercial campaigns for Bedgear, OK Tire, and Sofi Sofas. He recently produced the feature film Woodland, which premiered at the Whistler Film Festival (2018), won for best editing at the Newport Beach Film Festival (2019) and has been released internationally in multiple territories, including North America, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Scandinavia, Russia and the UK. Dale makes story the top priority in every project (an instructor in broadcasting college drilled into him that the most important tool of any performer is the "typewriter") and specializes in audience driven projects that balance equal parts "show" and "business."
